You know aboute the performance of first test match between PAKISTAN AND SOUTH AFRICA. Pakistan made its full and fledge tour to South Africa and where Pakistan had to played three Test matches because both the teams will have 5 games of One Day Cricket and three games of Twenty Over cricket in the South Africa. Many South African  players performe their experties in big event of PSL . In this test match it has been a bad luck and tragedy for Pakistan that it has not produced results in test matches in South Africa.

Most of the times, the pitches prepared in South Africa are always difficult for Pakistani batsmen. However, Pakistan have to bat, bowl and field well in order to have a win over professional South Africans and Pakistan played its opening test match with at Super Sport Park Stadium, Centrorian.


Pakistan had won the toss and brave decision taken by the Pakistani Captain Sarfaraz Ahmad to face the bowling of South Africa and Pakistan went with its two new openers i.e. Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman to open the innings for Pakistan. It was not a good start for Pakistan because Pakistan had lost its very first wicket at one run only.

It was Imam ul Haq who lost his wicket by Rabada leg before wicket. Fakhar Zaman did make much of the resistance and gave his wicket at 17 runs total because Pakistan was under pressure under the playing conditions. Shan Masood came into the side as a test cricketer and created some resistance 19 runs.


Pakistan lost its 4th wicket at a total of 62 runs. When Asad Shafique lost his leg before wicket by Olivier. Pakistani top order was destroyed by the professional South African bowling attack. Captain of Pakistan cricket team Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmad joins the crease along with the Babar Azam because he was batting well against the bowling.

Pakistani test captain did resist and he just faced 4 deliveries and he was bowled out by pacy bowler Olivier. Babar Azam took the responsibility and stay at the wicket to support Pakistan for further runs. Pakistan’s first innings was wind up early as Pakistan lost all its wickets at a total of 181 runs.

The star batsman for Pakistan for 1st innings was Babar Azam as he scored 71 runs off 78 balls. Pakistan bowl well in its 2nd innings because Pakistan takes the 1st wicket at 19 runs as Markram was out by scoring only 12 runs. It was Hassan Ali who took the first wicket.


South Africa lost its 2nd wicket at 43 runs. As almighty Amla was picked up by young talented because super-fast bowler Muhammad Aamer and it was the double breakthrough for Pakistan. As Shaheen Shah Afridi took the 3rd South African wicket at 43 runs. Dean Elgar and Pakistan had made a good come back in the game.

It was South Africa who was under pressure because they had lost their 4 important top-order batsmen. It was the turning point in the Match. When 18 years old Shaheen Shah Afridi took the wicket of Faf Duplessis. The whole pressure was imposed upon South Africa because of the South African core batsman. As they have lost 4th wicket on 43 runs of the total.

Pakistan bowl very nicely and on tight lines against South Africa and whole South African team was bowled out on 223 runs in their first innings. Star bowlers from Pakistan were Muhammad Aamer who took 4 wickets for just 62 runs and Shaheen Shah Afridi who also took 4 wickets for 64 runs in the first innings.


When Pakistan come to bat for 2nd innings, Pakistan was 44 runs behind from South Africa. Overall it was not a big lead for South Africa but considering the playing conditions. It was very difficult for Pakistan to cover these extra runs. Well, in the 2nd innings Pakistan had a good start. Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman provided a start of 44 runs for the 1st wicket.

Pakistan was looking very forward to play positive cricket with positive intent against South Africa. Then Imam ul Haq built the partnership with star batsman Shan Masood of 67 runs for the 2nd wicket. Imam ul Haq a good session as he was facing the South African pace attack with very confidence and was scoring runs as well.

After the first session, when Imam ul Haq came to bat, Mr. Olivier took his wicket by bowling him a very pacy bouncer. Imam ul Haq could not handle the quick bouncer and the ball hit the wicket and South Africa was very pleased to break this partnership of 2nd wicket against Pakistan. In the 1st test at Super Sports Park Stadium, Centurian, and Azhar Ali join Shan Masood at the crease.

Azhar Ali is a good test campaigner having good techniques to play all the shots in his book. On this day during second innings Azhar Ali did not resist much and he was able to face only 3 balls and fall for Olivier. Pakistan was wicket down at a total of 103 runs because all the hard work is done by the openers, and one down batsman was going in vain.

Asad Shafique along with Shan Masood tried to build the partnership but Asad Shafique falls early after creating a partnership of 31 runs with Shan Masood. The grip of South Africa over this test match was strengthening nicely because South Africa was picking the wickets at very crucial points.


South Africa created and build pressure on Pakistani batsman with their bowling and fielding. Pakistani was bowled for just 190 runs in the 2nd innings. The first tests match against Pakistan and a small total of 150 runs was required by South Africa to win

The pitch had changed in the 4th innings and all the batsmen were able to play all their favorite shots openly and South Africa win the first test by 6 wickets it’s Olivier the star bowler in the South African side who took the most wickets in the whole test match.
