Pakistan Super League

PSL has been to top cricket event in Pakistan. Pakistan Super League is being played once in a year of span. Pakistan Super League is the top national event in Pakistan. The fourth edition of PSL is going to commence on Thursday 14th, February 2019. The organizers have confirmed that eight matches of the Pakistan Super League 2019 will be played in Pakistan.

The start of the big event of the league is a few months away. But the preparations have already been made to make this event better and bigger event. In the first three editions of this league, the foreign players were allowed to play in the United States of Emirates (UAE). They were served with the option that if they come and play in Pakistan country. Then they will be paid more. Extra paying possibilities are going to vanish because the authorities of PSL have decided to bring the league in Pakistan. Some important matches were being played in Pakistan during the previous editions.

PSL Draft 2019

The schedule of the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League is still awaited, to be revealed but Pakistan Super League 2019 will be played between 17th, February, and March, 17. All the franchises have been given the right to retain 10 players each franchise and the remaining team will be selected through Draft The Draft of the players will be presented during November 2019.

PSL 2019 Schedule:

Last season, there were three games that were played including the final in Karachi and two other playoffs in Lahore. We had seen six teams fight it out for the top honors, with each of the sides featuring in a two-leg round-robin league. Every team played 10 games and at the end of the league stage of the competition, the top four sides played in a playoff. The third season of the PSL was won by Islamabad United who defeated the Peshawar Zalmi in the final.

HBL PSL FINAL 2018: PESHAWAR ZALMI VS ISLAMABAD UNITED

All the playoff matches and final of HBL PSL final 2018 were scheduled to be played in Pakistan. Islamabad United had won its match against Karachi Kings at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. It was a playoff stage. If any of the teams win the match, that team will play final against the other finalist team at National Stadium, Karachi.

VENUE: NATIONAL STADIUM KARACHI

Peshawar Zalmi played its first playoff match against their traditional rivalry Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. It was a tough game for both the team. But Peshawar Zalmi manages to win the game by 1 run. Now, Peshawar Zalmi had to win its other game against Karachi Kings to qualify for the final match.

At this elimination stage, both the teams i.e. Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings had to win the match because the losing side will be eliminated from the race of final match. On the day, Peshawar Zalmi played well and manage to score 170 runs after facing 20 overs.

It was a reasonable and chase-able total for the in-form Karachi Kings cricket team. But they manage to score 157 runs from their 20 overs. So, the Peshawar Zalmi qualified for the final match against Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi. A flat pitch was prepared at National Stadium, Karachi for the final match.

Toss had no effect. The outcome but it was expected that if a team wins the toss. It should go for the batting first. After winning the toss, the team should post a good high score on the board and take lead from the other side. It was Peshawar Zalmi. Peshawar Zalmi’s genuine opener Mr. Kamran Akmal was in full form. Darren Sammy joins Mr. Dawson at the crease. Peshawar Zalmi was losing the match at this point. They were not trying to score the runs and they were not pushing the bowling side but they were very defensive at their innings. The injured Darren Sammy fall on 111 runs as leg before wicket by Shadab Khan.

The hopes for scoring the high runs in the HBL PSL final game 2018 were diminishing with the loss of every wicket. At 111 runs Umaid Asif was got out without making any resistance but the end of Peshawar Zalmi’s innings, they manage to score 148 runs and lost 9 wickets after facing fixed 20 overs.

Chris Jordan and Liam Dawson were top performers from Peshawar Zalmi because the specialty of Peshawar Zalmi innings was the scoring of 28 runs by Wahab Riaz off 12 balls. Shadab Khan took 3 wickets for 25 runs from his 5 overs and Samit Patel took 2 top-order wickets for 26 runs.

Islamabad United open its innings against Peshawar Zalmi in HBL PSL 2018 final with its regular openers. Luke Ronchi and Sahibzada Farhan. who faced the opening spell from Peshawar Zalmi because Both the batsmen were in very good form throughout the whole season 2018. It was Chadwick Walton who lost his wicket without scoring any run on the board. Islamabad United was 102 for 3 after 10.3 overs of play because Even at this stage, after losing 3 quick wickets by Islamabad United, it was a good winning position.

It was Sahibzada Farhan who was batting according to the conditions of the game. He lost his concentration and played a pull shot against Wahab Riaz towards mid-wicket but Hassan Ali saw an opportunity there to catch the ball inside the boundary rope. Hassan Ali took a good catch in Under pressure and Sahibzada Farhan was out for 112 at 11.6 overs bowled.

In the next over and Mr. Hassan Ali came again. The attack and he took the wicket of S. Patel straightway. Islamabad United was 115 runs for 5. After 13.1 overs. Islamabad United was in under pressure but No batsmen were there to finish the job for Islamabad United. Hassan Ali bowls beautifully in his 2nd spell.

He took the important and crucial wicket of Shadab Khan. Islamabad United was 116 runs. For the loss of 6 wickets but required Run Rate was getting higher than the original and the wickets were tumbling of Islamabad United.

Asif Ali along with Hussain Tallat tried to finish the innings with the big win but it was Hussain Tallat who lost his wicket. Wahab Riaz bowled a fast and furious Yorker to Hussain. Hussain could not handle the pace and he lost his middle stump and Asif Ali and Faheem Ashraf were present at the crease.

Asif Ali being famous for hard hitting and scoring long sixes against fast and spin bowling. He did not waste any delivery and took the charge and hit the massive six on the leg side on short pitch delivery from Hassan Ali. Hassan but Ali did not learn any lesson from his previous ball and he bowl again a short pitched delivery.

Asif Ali being the master to play the pace bowling and hit against on the leg side for the massive six but it was a more longer and higher six than the previous one. To see this six, Hassan Ali was under pressure and he did not know how to ball and where to ball.

Hassan Ali made another mistake and give a ball in front of Asif Ali because Asif Ali pick the ball before but it was actually delivered. Asif Ali hit the ball for the massive six over leg side but ball travel higher and longer towards the leg side.

These three sixes take the sure victory to pocket of Islamabad United Cricket and Islamabad United finish the chase by scoring 154 runs after 16.1 overs. Islamabad United won the HBL PSL final 2018 by 3 wickets in style.
