GAME 9TH: PAKISTAN VS BANGLADESH

The last Match Pakistan vs Bangladesh for Pakistan Cricket Team in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was played against Bangladesh. This game was played at Lords Cricket Stadium, London on 5th July 2019. Officially the tour of Pakistani Cricket team for Cricket World Cup 19 was over.

Pakistan could not qualify the semi-finals of this international event because Pakistan’s qualification for the semis was dependant upon the win of the New Zealand Match against England. It was a big match between the two top cricket playing nations. But New Zealand loses this game and the chances of Pakistan Cricket Team for qualifying for Semis were finished.

Well, its natural match Pakistan vs Bangladesh and secure a win because the toss for Pakistan was important. The wicket of the Lords Cricket Stadium supports the batsmen first and the batsmen find the opportunity to score big in the first innings.

The big score will create pressure on the opposition to steal a win in the game because Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Fakhar Zaman and Imam Ul Haq who opened the batting for Pakistan. Initially, Fakhar Zaman was looking good as he played some good and fine shots around the wicket.

He took the charge and try to score the runs against the fast bowling. But soon he threw his wicket away. Pakistan was 23 for one during 8th over. This was a very important match Pakistan vs Bangladesh. Because if Pakistan wins the match with a big margin, the chances for qualifying for the semis could be brightened.

According to the stats of the Net Run Rate, Pakistan had to score at least 400 runs and they have to get Bangladesh out under 84 runs. Which means that Pakistan was required a win of 316 runs over Bangladesh but it was not possible statistically. Pakistan had not any kind of tendency to score like 400 runs in an innings.

After losing the first wicket early, Babar Azam came to the crease and join Mr. Imam Ul Haq to carry out the innings because both are the young and stylish batsmen of the talented Pakistani Cricket team. Both of them created a partnership of 157 runs for the 2nd wicket among them.

The whole nation and the present crowd was expecting their home team to score not less than 400 runs but Pakistan team management not do to that. They rather to go to secure a win. Pakistan loose its 2nd wicket at a total of 180 runs when Babar Azam lose his concentration and got out.

 It a good leg before wicket. He take the review to check that if it is not out. He was batting at 96 runs at that moment and he intends to complete his another ICC Cricket world Cup hundred. But he lost his review and 3rd umpire directed the on field umpire to stay with his original decision.

After Azam’s wicket, Muhammad Hafeez came to the crease and him along with young Imam Ul Haq build a partnership of 66 runs against the Bangladeshi pace attack and take the score of the team to 246 runs. Muhammad Hafeez played a sweep shot towards the leg side and give his wicket away to Bangladesh.

 After the instant, Imam Ul Haq completed his first ever ICC Cricket World Cup hundred and youngest Pakistani Cricketer to score a hundred in a World Cup match because, after the completion of his hundred, he loses his wicket and got out.

 After the wicket of Imam Ul Haq, no other batsmen carry the Pakistan innings to have a good and positive finish. Pakistan lose its wickets in tank. And finally Pakistan was able to score 314 runs after facing Bangladesh 50 overs. It was another big total for Bangladesh to chase down.

Bangladesh could not chase the total because of the limited resources in the batting department. Pakistan bowling was also in form, so the Bangalis have to batted really well to chase this total of over 300 runs in 50 overs. Pakistan had an early break through with the assistance of Muhammad Aamer and Soumiya Sarkar gave an easy catch to Mr. Fakhar Zaman.

Tamim Iqbal also struggled during the whole world cup to face the pace attacks of the oppositions. Tamim Iqbal falls on 48 runs against a tricky ball of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Shaheen Shah took the full advantage of the pitch because bowl a slow ball. The was gone through the pads of Tamim Iqbal and stumps were gone in the air.

To avoid the exerted pressure, both Mushfique Rahim and Shakib ul Hassan try to build a partnership to win the game for their country and a partnership of 58 runs produced some sort of help for Bangladesh to win the game and to gain the momentum back to their side.

It was the only big partnership of the Bangalis innings and Bangladesh manages to score only 221 runs against the Pakistani bowling attack. Pakistan won the game by 94 runs margin and it was the big margin by any team against Bangladesh in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

The exciting feature of the match was that 19 years old the youngest Pakistani fast bowler Mr. Shaheen Shah Afridi took 6 wickets for only 36 runs. He created an unbreakable record for Pakistan in the current ongoing Cricket World cup and Shaheen Shah Afridi was awarded the man of the match award for his record figures of 6 wickets for just 36 runs because he performed the amazing game.
