Hanif Muhammad was a great Pakistani Test Cricket who played 50 plus test matches for Pakistan. His scoring average was over 40 runs per innings in his whole test match career. He born on 21 December, 1934 in Junagardh India. His wife name was Shamshad Begum. She was a noble lady from India.
They have two baby boys and one baby girl. Namely Shoaib Muhammad and Shahzaib Mohammad and Seema Syed the daughter of Hanif Muhammad. But later on she moved with his husband to Pakistan. After the partition of India and Pakistan, he preferred to stay in Pakistan. He played his first game as a debut against India in 16 October 1952.
Mr. Hanif Mohammad is famous for scoring triple century for Pakistan Test Cricket. He is the first one every to achieve this milestone for his proud country. He also received Pride of Performance award from Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 1958.
Hanif Mohammad also owns a very unique world record on his International test match career. He has scored the slowest test match triple century in terms of time. He scored triple test match century in 858 minutes against West Indies. He is the only player ever in the history of the International Test Cricket that he played the longest test innings ever.
He played almost 970 minutes on the crease which is also another unique record for him. Once Pakistan had a Test tour of Australia. Mr. Hanif scored a test century in the first innings with very good pace on the bouncy tracks.
When Hanif Mohammad was batting in the 2nd innings, he playing on 93 runs then he was given out by the umpire on Barry Jarman appeal. Hanif Mohammad being the respect of Pakistan, he honors the decision of the umpire and left the crease.
But later on, after the test match had been played the umpire admitted in front of the press that Hanif Mohammad was not out. Hanif Mohammad died on 11th August 2016 at an age of 81 years.
